We are one of the few independent U.K optical manufacturing companies that are fully equipped and have experience in all the aspects of optical engineering from raw material to flat and curved machined optics - with flat and radius optical polishing machines, to testing and finally vacuum coating. We have machines for all optical fabrication and production like grinding, cutting, polishing, assembly and vacuum coating.

As well as the standard optics, we are known for customised optics, prototype optics and special one off requirements. We find it best to work with designers as early as possible so the optical components can be designed for the most efficient optical production and time scales.

Here at Galvoptics We have one of the most varied ranges of lenses, filters and optical components available on the market today. These Include Schott Range, Hoya Optical Filter Glass Range from (UV) Ultra Violet to (IR) Infra Red and the Corning and Kopp Glass Optical Filter Range from (UV) Ultra Violet to (IR) Infra Red . We manufacture these 3 ranges to all sizes and specifications.

Schott Fostec now make LED type ring lights and a new range of LED light sources. Sapphire windows from 170mm to 5300mm have good transmission range in the ultraviolet (U.V) to infra red (IR) lenses in sapphire because it is a hard material with great transparency range will not mark as easily. Borosilicate Low Expansion is very suitable for all types of optical windows on account of its chemistry and its thermal shock resistance. We can manufacture very small and very thin optics to large thick optical window and parts in Borosilicate.

Galvoptics LTD Are specialists for Diamond Hard Coated Germanium Optics, and have 10 high vacuum coating machines and can supply some diamond hard coated optics from stock, custom germanium optics large or small can be made to customers' requirements The Germanium transmission range is 2 to 23UM. We can manufacture custom optics for all types of industries including Medical, Industrial, Military Defence.

Other types of infra red materials like silicone is ok for infrared lenses and windows but has not got the range of germanium. The silicon range is 1.5 to 6UM.

Galvoptics LTD can supply Germanium Lenses for imaging systems and any other systems that need infrared (IR) Germanium, like small Germanium 10mmDia, SQ Germanium Window or 50mm Dia Germanium Cylindrical Lenses.
