With today's emphasis on carbon and vehicle emission control more and more organisations and public sector bodies are turning to bicycle racks to encourage employees and individuals to leave their cars at home. The rise of walking meanwhile has led to a need for more park benches and street furniture in general. At Autopa we can supply all these requirements in addition to many more such as cycle shelters and racks, picnic benches and parking or vehicle control options.
These are wide-ranging and come in a a variety of materials, finishing and colourings to suit your exact specifications. All our products are quality assured and accredited to ISO standards. So far as possible every product is environmentally friendly in terms of design and manufacture. Materials we use in our factory include mild steel, recycled plastic and stainless steel. Our range of products, which are all weather-proof and anti-corrosive, include:
These come in a variety of designs and colours and can be made to fit any number and shape of bike - including tandems. The frames can be self-supporting and come either double or single sided. You can buy a rack floor mounted and bolted into the ground, built to fit inside a cycle shelter or uncovered and ready built. Alternatively you can buy a single set and gradually bolt on further sets as time or necessity allows.
These can be supplied to suit either one or two bikes either side and come in a variety of shapes - including hooped and wall-mounted. Again, like the racks, these come ready built or in self-assembly mode. The Sheffield Toastrack, for example, can be bolted on-site to build as long as you like. Stands also come in a variety of colours and materials.
Regardless of your budget, Autopa has a cycle shelter to suit. Our shelters range from lean-to varieties for wall fixing or free standing for ground fixing. They're used in colleges, supermarkets, town centres and train stations. All are robust. Some, like the Cambridge and Chiswick offer roof-covering, others such as the Boston provide mesh doors.
Like our bicycle shelters and racks, our seating is in a variety of designs, colours and materials from the simple Triton seat bench to the aesthetically-pleasing Rockingham picnic table which comes with matching bins. Or take a look at the Caldecott which comes in both a bench and seat design to allow you a pleasing combination. The Rockingham, with its rounded contours, is similarly attractive as a seat or bench and can be seen in many shopping centres and school playgrounds. In fact, you've probably already sat on one!
When it comes to street furniture choose between traditional or modern shapes and designs. Our bins come in a range of colours to suit local authority branding. And even come with contrasting band if preferred. They can be open-topped or covered and made from steel or plastic. For high streets and schools they tend to be flared and bayonet-fixed to assist with emptying. Our all-steel bins are fireproof and have the option of an ashtray attachment.
These come in a variety of attractive and eye-catching shapes and are designed to encourage sapling growth without pavement disturbance. All the polyurethane grilles are rust and weather resistant.
From mild steel, stainless steel, illuminated, reinforced, recycled plastic, ornamental rubber and polyurethane varieties, at autopa.co.uk we have a selection of bollards to suit every taste and requirement when it comes to traffic calming and parking. Our fixed ornamental bollards are commonly used in pedestrian precincts and parking areas while our verge markers are excellent for country roads and tight corners and provide excellent high visibility in poor weather conditions and at night.
When it comes to parking, our range of posts are guaranteed to keep unwanted cars away. From hinged posts to sprung boundary, fixed and retractable varieties these posts are made from galvanised steel and can be colour coated or finished in stainless steel.
Canopies, Walkways and Shelters
Used in inclemental weather, for smokers or bus stops, these covered walkways and canopies are supplied in a variety of designs and colours. Our Wimbledon teenager shelter is particularly attractive, the smoking shelters are 50 per cent enclosed (in keeping with legal requirements) and come with ashtrays. Our waiting shelters are fully enclosed to offer the upmost against the ravages of wind and rain.
Vehicle Access Control
From automatic barriers to swing gates, height restrictors and speed ramps, again we have a choice of means when it comes to preventing unwanted car parking, entry or speeds. In addition we have trolley bays and shelters, pedestrian guardrails for use as temporary barriers at events and fencing rails for car parks and zoned areas.
We're proud to announce that we have the accolade of having patented the original parking post way back in 1959. Today we've come on a long way and now produce a range of parking and vehicle control products together with barriers, shelters and cycle racks. Because we do our own manufacturing on-site we can assist with most requirements whether in terms of design, size, style, materials or colour. Our customers include such high street names as Tesco as well as high-security government installations such as Cockenzie Power Station near Edinburgh. Primary and secondary schools have also benefitted from our expertise when it comes ot cycle racks while local authorities UK-wide display our street furniture in parks and pedestrian areas.
